So many of you may have noticed a new voice on the phone or a new friendly face at the studio over the last month. We’ve had a few changes and I’m just now getting a chance to write about it and fill you in (Oh, the joys of fall!). I’m happy and sad to break the news that Heather will no longer with me at Memories Portraits and Danielle Evans Photography. Many of you know, she has been the backbone of the Memories Portraits studio for over eight years, the last four with me. Heather is such a go-getter, hard worker, problem solver, crafter, smile-getter, marketing genius, Photoshop-extraordinaire, among many other things. Most of all, she has been a great listener and an even better friend over the years as we worked side by side. One of her greatest qualities has always been that she is such a wonderful and loving mother, to Lexi, and wife to David. I hope to one day be a fraction of the amazing woman she is. I’ve had the benefit of watching Lexi grow up over the last four years, starting home-school, reading, drawing, making movies, playing, and blossoming into such a courageous creative little lady. As much as I’m sad to see Heather go, I’m thrilled for her to be there with her family, as her presence, guidance, and love makes them the best they truly can be. Of course, I’ve made her promise that I still get to photograph her, Lex, and David and that we still get Rafferty’s lunches to catch up. 😉 I’m blessed to have worked in such great company for so many years. Heather, we’ll all miss you! I did get to photograph them ONE more time the other day as a surprise for David while he was out of town on work. I might be biased, but I think they’re pretty special images. <3
BUT…many of you are still wondering who the cute face is that’s now at the studio, right??! Well, let me formally introduce Devon! She will be at the studio through the week in the mornings and second shooting with me at weddings on weekends. Let me brag on Devon for a minute now too. She has been second shooting with me for over the last year at weddings, assisting at Bridal Shows, and very quickly became a good friend and fellow photographer to “talk shop” with over a glass of wine after a wedding. It made perfect sense to have Devon step in and fill Heather’s very large shoes at the studio, and she’s been ROCKING it! Devon has such a loving heart and a strong work ethic, two adorable kiddos of her own, and her own budding photography business on the side. We’ve added some more fun-facts about Devon over on our About page. And of course, I had the pleasure of photographing Devon, Zoe, and Aiden up in the mountains as well, because we all love extra photos and new headshots! 😉
So, without further ado….my photo montage of the BEST workers and friends a gal could have. I think I’m pretty blessed.
<3 Thank you both for all your hard work!! <3
