Hooray, Spring is finally arriving and, along with it, the bunnies are too! They will be here March 12 – April 30, and I can hardly believe that this will be our 11th year photographing your precious babes with live bunnies. We love watching all of our kiddos get so excited about petting and loving on them year after year. We facebooked and emailed about bunny sessions a couple of weeks ago, so Saturday sessions are already filling up fast. Baby Album Goodness | Knoxville Portraits

STUDIO NEWS: I announced this a couple of weeks ago on facebook, but never posted here that the studio is changing to a By Appointment Only Schedule for a while. Basically, I’m here most of the time, but I am all by my lonesome quite a bit these days. So, if I have an errand to run, or need to get my daughter to a doctor’s appt or the roads are icy… I just may not be here. So, please call me if you’re planning on coming by and I’ll gladly be here for you! Thanks so much to you all for understanding, and for everyone’s support of us even though we’ve changed things at the studio lately. I don’t think I’ve said it enough, just how much we truly appreciate all of our wonderful clients… you guys are the BEST!!

OK, now onto the good stuff… I have been wanting to show these books off for several months now and just haven’t had the time to make it happen. So, last week when we were snowed in for days on end, I made it a point to photograph these beauties so that I finally could post them! There are two separate types of books that I have to show off and one very special deal (so keep reading!).

Up first is our Squish Album. This has been my most-requested product to add to our View Our Products page, and I’m so glad for everyone to be able to view it now! This 20-page 5×5 album is included with every Squish Session, with the option to upgrade in size. I do believe I have more fun creating Squish Albums than any other product, they are just so darn cute! These truly are a delight to present to our new mommy’s on pick-up day, and I love watching them flip through it for the very first time.

And this is our Baby’s First Year Album. We have considered adding this product to our menu for quite a while now, and finally made that happen this past year and we couldn’t be more pleased! I have ordered alot of custom books in my time, but I have NEVER seen this quality and craftsmanship poured into a single album before. I wish that my living room photography could do it justice (remember, we are people photographers, not product photographers), but it simply cannot. Together, you and I will choose 8-12 images from each of your four Baby’s First Year sessions to be included in this 24-page 8×8 Art Album. This truly is a piece of art, and I am so, so, so excited to now offer this product! And here is where the deal comes in — from now until March 31st, Memories is offering our Baby’s First Year Album at $100 off before taking it to full price! This book will retail for $595, but we are offering an introductory price (wow, I sound like a tv commercial, lol!) of only $495. Dad’s, this would make an excellent Valentine’s Day gift or Mother’s Day gift (hint, hint)! Custom books have a normal 4 week turnaround time — but anyone who orders this for Valentine’s Day before January 29th will be promised delivery before the big day!! I can’t wait to create your album of your growing girl or boy.

Hey there, guys, sorry for the lack of blogging. It’s been one crazy week here!! Nancy has been in the hospital since Monday, and while we were hoping the boys could wait another week, it seems they cannot. She will be delivering via c-section in about 15 minutes. I’m posting updates on our Facebook fan page… just search for Memories Portraits to keep in the know today. Thank you all for your prayers, her triplet boys are just 33 weeks and our only goal is healthy mom and babies.

22 Weeks and Going Strong

Let me start off by saying a big THANK YOU to my girls, Michelle and Heather, for making a big pregnant girl look and feel pretty fabulous! I must admit that I’m so used to being on the other side of the camera, that I was a bit nervous. I know, crazy, huh? But I was, lol! Michelle did a great job making it all relaxed and fun, and then Heather, with her mad Photoshop skills made the image of Billy and I look like a piece of art!! Thank you, thank you, my homies!

We were so excited/nervous when Hillary Lake from Channel 10 News contacted us a couple of weeks ago about coming to the studio to do a story on our newest photography service, Birth Days by Memories! We were featured on the 11:00 news on Saturday the 18th and again on Sunday. As a part of the story, my very first birth mommy came in to be interviewed along with her beautiful daughter, Anna Kate. We are so thankful to Liz for her glowing testimonial interview, and so grateful to her for skipping out on the Florida game to come to the studio to participate. Miss Anna Kate has grown so much, and we were so, so, so glad to have them back into the studio again!!

Costumes For A Cause | Knoxville Photographer

What’s better than a cute kid dressed up for Halloween? Taking their pictures for a great cause, that’s what! We started with these fun mini-sessions last year, and had such a great time that we decided we needed to give it a proper name and make it a tradition! In honor of Nancy’s soon-to-be-born triplets, ALL proceeds from this year’s Costumes for a Cause will be donated to Children’s Hospital. Sessions are $25 and will include one digital image and additional images may be purchased for only $10 each. These appointments are only available on Saturday, October 30 from 1:00 – 5:00 and at this special price, they will fill up. It’s finally here… we are so excited to announce the launch of our new birth photography website!! After much debate and deliberation, we came up with a name for these sessions that truly says it all… Birth Days by Memories. We love it, and sincerely hope you do too. This has been quite a journey and we owe a huge thanks to our first Birth Days mommy’s — Robin, Liz, April, Candace & Hannah. Hey guys, just wanted to pop in for a quick minute to wish everyone a Happy Labor Day weekend! Sorry for the lack of updates on the blog lately… we have tons to share but have been so busy with the new birth website and other various new projects (I think we aren’t happy unless we’re overwhelmed, haha!) We are, however, taking the weekend off to recoup and enjoy some family time… so we will be out of the studio tomorrow and will return calls and emails on Tuesday. Enjoy!!

Yep, that’s right, we found out yesterday that we are expecting THREE BOYS!! Three boys who will make a mess of the house and yet have already made such a special place in our hearts. I couldn’t feel more blessed at this moment…
