Sweet Rory Kathleen came into the studio this week for her Squish session, and we simply loved her. She was so agreeable and such a great little sleeper, this pretty girl was putty in our hands, lol! She also has the kindest family, and we are so glad they found us just a few short months ago!

Her mommy paid us the best compliment too. After the session was wrapped up, she asked us how long we’ve been working together… and when we answered nearly 2 years, she was surprised and said just how well we communicate with one another… knowing what needs to be done without saying it. Most people don’t realize that Nancy, Michelle and I all work together during an entire Squish session. Nancy and Michelle work their camera magic, while I pose the babies. It works for us, we’ve been shooting newborns like this for what feels like forever now and I can’t imagine it any other way. If I haven’t said it lately… I love my job, it just doesn’t get better than this. Thanks to everyone who make this kind of work possible… and thanks to our wonderful and loyal clients — you and your sweet kiddos are what keep us going… literally!



And this one is my personal fave! Thanks so much guys for bringing in these sunflowers for your session. We loved them, and judging by the look on Miss Rory’s face… she does too!

Alright guys, here it is, my first experience photographing a birth… and I owe a huge thanks to Liz and Seth for letting me in on their amazing day! Liz is so beautiful and the entire family was so, so gracious, I could not have asked for more.  All of this to say, as much as I’m talking about myself here, that is not what this day was about… this day was truly about just being there with my camera and this family during their most special day… documenting the first journey of sweet Anna Kate.  It was a true miracle to witness this precious girl enter the world… amazing family, amazing girl!   You guys are the best

And thanks so much to everyone who entered, we had such a great time with this contest (and, from what I hear, Regal had a verrry difficult time deciding… all of the babies were so adorable and so full of personality!) We can’t wait to get Eva & Kaori into the studio for their sessions (and, Sawyer, enjoy your movie themed birthday party!)… see you soon girls!!

These two adorable eight year olds have been coming to Memories since they were just two. Both of them are so fun to work with and a natural in front of the camera, and mom always does a great job coordinating their clothes! Great session, great kids, great job!

Little Ashton was a pro for his first portrait session here at Memories. He has the most beautiful blue eyes and adorable expressions, he’s a natural. I love the images of Ashton with mom and dad… beautiful family!

These two adorable brothers are so much fun to photograph. It’s hard to believe this is little man Brady’s last session of his Baby’s First Year Program, my how time flies when you’re having this much fun. Great session!

We were happy to have little Miss Baya into the studio last week for her first session of her Baby’s First Year Program. She was honestly so sweet and easy going, she made my job very easy. And I have to say, thanks to Baya, that our favorite new color combo at the studio is green and purple. I adore these images!!

Little Rory Kathleen entered the world this morning via planned C-section, and is perfect and healthy weighing in at just over 7 pounds. Her momma is so beautiful and so kind, I was honored to capture this beautiful event for them. We can’t wait to have Miss Rory into the studio for her Squish Session soon… we have big plans for this one!

I feel so honored that this family has come back in for yet another Baby’s First Year Program. Little Christian is baby #5 for this fabulous family, and I was so thrilled when mom brought all 4 big brothers and big sisters in recently to help with smiles. It was wonderful to see how big and grown up they are all getting, and they all have such perfect manners. Mom is so amazing, she’s my hero!

This sweet girl was full of smiles for her second session of her Baby’s First Year Program. Big brother is very busy but so handsome and little sister just adores him… fun session!
