What do you get when you go on a really cool location, and you have beautiful kids with great expressions? You get totally fabulous images! The Farr kids joined me downtown for a Summer in the City Session this weekend and, man, are these kids photogenic. Big brother Drew is so handsome and such a natural in front of the camera (boy, is Mom in trouble!). Abby is already gorgeous at just 13 and little Luke is a total cutie. I just love the urban feel of these images!

Farr and Away
Sidney and Cole
I had such a great time downtown this weekend for the Summer in the City Sessions! I can’t believe how big and grown up Miss Sidney is, and little Cole is such a hunkaroonie. It was really hot and humid out, but the kids were such great troopers and we got some awesome images. Great job, guys!

You, Me and Addi Makes Three!
I always look forward to photographing this family. Mom and Dad will do pretty much whatever I say, lol, and since I’m kind of a control freak this really works for me!
Little Addison is so photogenic and full of personality, and Mom and Dad simply adore her. I love how they’ve changed up their clothing for this session, it goes perfectly with Addison’s Matilda Jane! They are such a sweet family, and can you tell Addison just celebrated birthday number two?! So cute!

Three’s Company
Let me start off by saying I think these kids are adorable. Love, love their hair color and beautiful smiles! Kids were hot and over it before we even begun, and Mom was worried that it was just not a good portrait day… but at last, I’m always up for a good challenge and this may be their best session yet. Great images!

Princess Cece
I can’t believe little Cece is on her last session of her Baby’s First Year Program. She has such an adorable personality and I love, love her outside images! Can’t wait for them to come in for big brother Cooper’s four year birthday photos, I just love this family!

Table for Four
It was so great to see this family again. Kids are getting so big, I would hardly recognize them and mom and dad are just as fabulous as ever. I love sisters big beautiful eyes and little man has the very best expressions! Great sesson!

Sweet Pea
It was so great to see little Ana Blair, who was in recently for her third session of her Baby’s First Year Program. This darling girl takes after her big sister and always photographs great. My camera loves her little face!

What to Wear Wednesday
I was given a challenge for this weeks What to Wear by someone very special coming into town flying all the way across the country for a family session (ok, and maybe a good visit too). Nancy’s niece, Mandy, will be here in a few weeks and is struggling with choosing the perfect clothes for her little family to wear. She requested a blue, brown, orange, and cream color palette (looove these colors, by the way!), so I decided to show two completely different looks with the same colors. Mandy and her family will be going downtown for their session, so I felt it was very important to include alot of texture and color into these clothes to coordinate with the urban feel. And, by the way, if you were interested in going downtown with your family but haven’t yet booked your Summer in the City Session, we have just a couple spots left!
The great thing about these two looks is that they reflect two totally different personalities, but either set would be totally appropraite for a session. One look is young, hip, and fresh while the other is a bit more classic but has great texture and an awesome splash of color and pattern in baby boy’s necktie (I think I’d go with the orange polka dot — go vols!). Let your family’s personality define what you wear. You will be much more comfortable and it will show in your images, whatever your style may be.

Dad – Linen Shirt, Pants, Flip Flops
Mom – Dress, Boots
Baby Boy – Linen Shirt, Pants, Sandals, Necktie (I love them all, so I showed all of her ties!)

Dad – Shirt, Jeans, Shoes
Mom – Dress
Baby Boy – Shirt and Shorts, Shoes
Next week, I will finally post my long ago promised Brothers Only Edition of What to Wear, so all you mama’s with boys need to stay tuned…

New Beginnings
Let me start off by saying that this was the first time I’ve met this adorable couple, and they were a joy to photograph. I’m so excited to be photographing baby Jackson for his entire first year! I look forward to getting to know them better, but I can already tell they are going to be an awesome new mom and dad!

Little Darlings
Madeline did such a great job for her third session of her Baby’s First Year Program. I love her big brown eyes and her little coy expressions, obviously she takes after her two adorable big sisters!
